Land, Planning and Development Federation (LPDF)

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Nicole Burnett who has joined the LPDF as our Senior Policy and Research Manager.

Nicole started her career in local government, working in the Housing Team at Manchester City Council, followed by the Growth Point Team, part of Spatial Planning, at Cheshire West and Chester Council.

In 2012 Nicole made the move to the private sector joining Gladman Developments, where she spent 8 years developing her understanding of strategic land and the complexities of the planning system. Her work at Gladman was heavily focused on planning policy and the promotion of sites through local plans.

Since leaving Gladman in 2020 Nicole has been working on a freelance basis for clients within strategic land promotion.

Outside of work Nicole is kept on her toes running around after her toddler Reuben. She also plays netball in 3 local leagues and enjoys spending time outdoors on walks with her family and sausage dog Jasper. Nicole is a keen traveller and a particular fan of visiting her family in Barbados as regularly as possible.

Speaking about her new role Nicole stated "I am excited to get started with the LPDF and the opportunities and challenges this will bring for me. The LPDF has a key role to play and I look forward to being a part of the team and meeting all of the LPDF members. "

Chairman Paul Brocklehurst commented "We're delighted to be welcoming Nicole to the LPDF team. Nicole's arrival, with a wealth of local authority and commercial planning experience, will enable us to build on the relationships with stakeholders in the areas of planning and housing delivery already developed, broaden our engagement in the arena of intergenerational fairness and support our members whilst we all work to ensure that this country builds the new homes that it so desperately needs."
